Daisy and the sego palm

So I blogged earlier about Daisy getting into a sego palm. She hasn't been doing well since. She chewed on the seeds in the middle of the palm, the worst part for her to eat, and threw up a alot. We had to rush her to the vet and we thought we had gotten it caught early enough. She spent a couple of days with the vet and then came home. But she really wasn't eating normally. Well, on Monday she basically stopped eating and so we took her back to the vet on Tuesday. The vet prescribed some pills to support her liver and gave us some food to feed her through a syringe. I thought and prayed that would end it and she'd be normal again. Well, by Thursday she still wasn't eating well and overnight was having trouble with going to the bathroom and wasn't sleeping. So early Friday morning we took her back to the vet. Her liver levels were still not right and so they have her at least until tomorrow. She won't be able to come home until she's eating normally on her own. The good thing is the liver can regenerate itself so there's a good chance she can get better, plus she was eating some wet food yesterday.

As many of you know, she's been a great companion to me especially when Jeff has been deployed. We are praying for the Lord to heal her little body completely and enable her to eat her dry food on her own. If you get a moment, would you pray this with us? It breaks my/our heart to see her not feeling well and we just pray that she would be completely restored. We trust the Lord is taking care of her and just want to be good pet owners. We do recognize she's "just a dog" but she's ours and we want to take good care of her. Thanks for praying with us!
